Greetings, all.

Woke up at 6 a.m. yesterday to find a message from Jean Du Toit sent the previous day 4.30 p.m, saying he had 4 new pipes for sale on his site. By the time I logged on, 3 had already been snapped up, but remaining was a pipe he calls a Freehand Lapwing Egg with a beige brindle Cumberland stem. A friend in my pipe club has something similar of his, at which I have been casting covetous glances.

I swear I called my wife to come and save me from myself. It was a brave effort on both of our parts, but sadly it was a losing battle. Pulled the trigger, and here are the pornographic results:

Thanks, Pete. A small PS here:

Just look at this crop of the last pic. If that's not a man with pipe in hand, I'm a monkey's uncle!

Nice freehand there sir. ;)
But as far as there being a man with pipe in there, I'd have to say it looks more like a monkey with a stick. :suspect:

Mark, that is a fantastic pipe!

I too went to check out his new listings, but they didn't last very long. Jan is carving some great looking pipes for sure!

I really like this one and it's against general preference for myself. Nice.
