In the forum icon (the picture above), does the smoke from the two pipes look like a particular bird to anyone else here?

Actually, it's just the artist's rendition of smoke coming from the pipes. Over the years many have had the same observation as you so we just ended up calling it a Kiwi. He's famous now, you know.

Like hell. The artist was better than that. The kiwi is an endangered species and cannot fly. What wings it does have are vestigial stumps. The image is obviously a metaphor for pipe smoking in general.
