Hello All
Yesterday I purchased an un-smoked estate GBD Rhodesian (9438). Does anyone have a guess as to a production date for the pipe? The pipe has ‘London England’ stamped on one side with 9438 below it and on the other side it has GBD circled with 'Congress' underneath. It has a gold metal logo on the stem and at the heel it look like either a 7 or an L stamped. Any assistance would be much appreciated. I am hoping it is pre-merger. I am guessing it is from the 1970's but I can't find any information about the 'Congress' line.
