Gourd Calabash

It seems a few weeks ago there was some discussion of gourd calabash pipes and the difficulty in obtaining them. I received an e-mail from the folks at Synjeco, a Swiss tobaccanist, saying thay had them available.

Though I have no commercial connection with them, I have purchased from them and found them to be very dependable and customer oriented.

Given the difficulty in aquiring some European blends, you might also check out their tobacco selections

The one that looked extra special to me was 170 Swiss francs, which was $234 USD, and then the shipping. That damned money thing keeps getting between me and happiness!

That's a great price if it's block meerschaum.

I read someplace around here that meerschaum is exclusively mined in Turkey, and they prohibit its export in a raw form...is this true, on both accounts?
