Thanks, fellows! I had a nice day, some quality time with the boy (who's doing fine,) and even got in a quick pipe with a Guinness on the side. Then my family came over for dinner. Afterwards, we popped open a bottle of champagne that was a gift at my birth, all 33 years ago. Amazingly, it wasn't turned to vinegar or spoiled by cork rot, but it had reduced to something that tasted like cheap sherry. (Guess we'll have to take better care of the bottle we're buying Henry.)

A nice way to ease into another year of thirtysomething.
