I'm excited to be part of this briar brotherhood. I started smoking pipes as a young man in the early 80's, emulating my dad's passion for the pipe. He sadly passed away in the early 90's and his pipe collection fell to me. My pipes then sat unused for a few decades until recently. Now in my back half life journey, my briar collection has become a constant companion and good friend. I am looking forward to learning way more than I know today from y'all.

Welcome to the group! What's your favorite tobacco?

I love British blends. My dad’s fave was always Latakia blends and I remember the smell from my childhood. My wife however hates it. So if I am on the back deck by myself, it’s Latakia heavy tobacco. If my best mate joins me, it’s black cavendish, which is wife approved.
