Hey guys, here's some food for thought. Most local tobacconists thrive on sales of cigars, and pipes and pipe tobacco is secondary. If these laws pass, we could see a ripple effect on the entire industry.

It is very easy to click on the link and add your name and address which will send a pre-typed form letter to the appropriate politicians. It will take less than a minute of your time to support the industry that supplies our hobby.

I do appreciate your initial impulse to file it in the most fitting topic, of course! I think an overwhelming number of us are cigar supporters, but not necessarily all cigar smokers.
 
Doc, I'm not sure what the sales percentages are, but my guess is that if our local tobacconists lose enough revenue on cigar sales, it could put them out of business. I do know that if they were to only rely on pipe and pipe tobacco sales and accessories, they would certainly struggle to survive.

I do smoke cigars, but the fight is about tobacco itself, not the packaging. ;)
