I am thinking about buying a churchwarden pipe. Could anyone recommend a website where I could buy one from? I'm new to pipe smoking and do not know the trusted names and websites yet.

I have heard some good things about Johs churchwardens also, and they seem to be selling like hotcakes these days too. I have been considering picking one up myself. Pretty sure smokingpipes (same site PD referenced) has a few in stock, and they are pretty inexpensive. If all things were magically equal moneywise, I would personally probably choose one of the HCA pipes that PD referenced. The Johs still look like a nice alternative though.

Edit: Here are a couple from smokingpipes that i am kinda diggin':

I'd second the recommendation on the Stanwells (any Stanwell pipes, in fact). I am also quite pleased with my Savinelli Churchwarden.

I have a Johs pipe, not a churchwarden, but it's a great looking pipe that smokes great too, FWIW.

Man I love that website. Anyone got a mop for my drool?

The Pfeifenkonsulat website is like walking into a different world. I like passing through to see what's going on "over there". Bought my last Stannie from them and they threw in a pipe nail, a handful of pipe cleaners, some filters, a small cleaning cloth and a stem brush. Good folks to deal with,,,,,took 12 days to arrive, not bad in my opinion.
