That's pretty cool. Is the stem wood? It almost looks like plastic in one pic.

This brings me some "I wish I woulda known" thoughts. When I was a kid, I spend most of my summers hanging around my Grandpa's farm...who was a farmer...of corn, We always messed around with the cobs, but I never knew how valuable they could have been, lol.

I used bamboo rod for the stem. This bamboo is used for tying flowers in a pot (see image below).
