I told Makis I wanted a piece of briar I could cut a fist-sized pipe from. So it'll be.... a little bigger than average. You betcha. :twisted:
 
Sounds awesome, I can't wait to see the process and eventually the pipe...once he digs up a chunk of briar big enough lol.
 
I believe the vendor's term for these pieces is "elephant feet" which sounds very appropriate. I haven't been dealing with this guy long, but the first batch of briar he sent me was excellent. This second time around I told him just to pick out a bunch of good looking stuff, but we needed one super giant monster piece. "No problem" he said. Should see the wood this week.
