If you need to distract the police for some reason, tell them you have a "feeling" that there's a bunch of children dead or in mortal danger at some farmhouse.

Translated: People will act rationally and deny they believe in supernatural silliness only until a certain point of threat/horror is reached, after which what they really believe is flushed out.

My money's on the "psychic informant" being the new girlfriend of the ex-boyfriend who cut himself deliberately and bled profusely on said farmhouse. Or possibly the ex-girlfriend, if her parents (sensibly) pressured her to break up with said boyfriend after the bleeding incident.

There's no atheists in foxholes because it takes years to get the military to change your dog tags from "None" to "Atheist".
