A generous brother in the UK sent me a selection of British Codger blends to try, along with some Elizabethan Mixture. I'm looking forward to trying them all!

Yup - the Elizabethan Mixture gave him away.
It sure is a fantastic blend though!

Congrats and enjoy them, Pete.
Too bad it's no longer made  It was a GOOD one !!

as they no longer make it, I'm pretty sure the EM will be the best stuff I've ever smoked...

At least this way I'll be able to complain about it!

Here ya go, Monbla!
It's a tad expensive and shipping might be a bugger...
Pound...Euro....whatever those things are more than the dollar is...Rob is trying to bankrupt us all so he can buy all tje 1Q up for himself.

BTW congrats brother enjoy and kudos Greyson.

unfortunately (and fortunately) the hype over the Elizabethan Mixture is well deserved IMHO.

Magical stuff, the Nording Freehand has really opened up the world of English Mixtures for me. Now I'll have to find more pipes with similar sized bowls!

Edit: All good, this is the Cigar Connoisseur Elizabethan Mixture, so still available!

I thought he was getting some baggied Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture which is what I was rfereing to! It was a nice, FULL, nic heavy VaPer, no Latakia as this bulk blend lists! Too bad Orlik doesn;t bring back the Elizabethan Mixture though

Greyson, sent me 4oz of the CC Elizabethan, and it is excellent. Peter, I think you'll like the McQuad Plug. I haven't had the St.Bruno ready rubbed, but the flake is really nice.

British OTC's are my up of tea, no pun intended.

DnB this is the CC Elizabethan as well, wonderful!

Looking forward to trying the others later

Kudos Greyson, that is a 'very' generous gift indeed. :)

Pete, you are in for a real treat with the St.Bruno and the Condor, absolutely fantastic tobacco's, that McQuaid is now a firm favourite of mine also, a very very enjoyable plug, from my Lat' days I can totally vouch for the Kendal Balkan mixture, a very good blend, haven't tried the CC-EM but have heard good things. Congratulations, I hope you enjoy them all exceedingly well. :)

Well, he mentioned he was interested in trying some UK OTC blends, a couple of shop visits later and the bomb was on its way... and I feel a bit like an ambassador for CCEM, I have to spread the word as often as I can :)

ok, just tried some St. Bruno's in a cob. Quite smokeable. Not particularly soapy, but not particularly flavorful either. Perhaps trying the CC Elizabethan Mixture earlier was not a fair way to go 8)
