Hello everyone, I have missed all of the characters who make up this wonderful community.
I have thought a lot about you all in the past year.
I hope that the funk I have been in, the last year or so is going away, but I try and take things one day at a time.
About a year ago I slipped into a depression which is really not my style, I'm usually happy go lucky with a ducks back, type of guy, but something grabbed a hold of me and I couldn't shake it, my lovely wife has stood beside me through it all, and gave the support I needed.
I have recently moved into a new house, and have to get my shop set back up and hopefully update it a little bit, and I need to get my hands and brain moving back into a creative flow.
Bring creative, and making things has always been my therapy.
I also hope to return back here and continue to be a part of this great place

Good to see you. Don't feel like a lone wolf, a lot of us here have gone through (or are going through) depression. It's a hard battle... but it does get better. If you ever need someone to listen, pm me.

I've wondered what happened to you Harry. Not good to hear about the downturn, but pleased to know things are in an upswing. You've made some fine pipes so very happy to hear you're returning to carving.

Cheers,

RR

Harry!

We have certainly missed you here on the forums. Heck, every pipe forum is in need of an old biker, with the skills to sling some ink! Hope to see you around on a regular basis now that things are getting back to normal.

I think the depression issue is something most folks experience at some point, but the truth is, most are not comfortable talking much about it.

Been away myself for 2 years. Contracted an auto-immune disease called CIDP which made me lose 70% of my muscles in my arms and legs. Now I've been disabled since March. We never know what this crazy life is going to throw at us.

Glad to hear you are getting better.
