I have been an occasional fan of Murdock's Pipe. I have read in various reviews of Rattray's Jock's Mixture and seek any opinions of those who have smoked both and might be willing to offer up any opinion of same or different between the two. I do like what is called Scottish Blends but the range apparently crosses over many property lines. Of those I have tried that seem similar to the ingredients for a Scottish blend; McConnell's Scottish Flake, Butera Royal Vintge #2 Latakia (but not heavy lat.), Watch & Cigar Justice Mixture, Iwan Ries English aro, Blatter & Blatter Special (I think I detect a hint of Lakeland/tonquin...arg), these all seem to circle some elusive sweet spot that I am seeking to hone in on.
Any thoughts on where Jock's Mixture might fit in to this or where to explore is appreciated.
