A great post from a police officer's forum that I follow. Thought you might enjoy reading it.

WHY MEN ARE NEVER DEPRESSED

Our last name stays put.
The garage is all ours.
Wedding plans take care of themselves.
Chocolate is just another snack.
We can never be pregnant.
Car mechanics tell us the truth.
The world is our urinal.
We never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky.
We don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.
Same work, more pay.
Wrinkles add character.
People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them.
New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet.
One mood all the time..

Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
You know stuff about tanks and engines.
A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase.
We can open all our own jars.
We get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness.

Our underwear is $7.00 for a three-pack.
Three pairs of shoes are more than enough.
We never have strap problems in public.
We are unable to see wrinkles in our clothes.
Everything on our face stays its original colour.
The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.
We only have to shave your face and neck.

We can play with toys all our life.
One wallet and one pair of shoes -- one colour for all seasons.
We can wear shorts no matter how our legs look.
We can "do" our nails with a pocket knife.
We have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.
We can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.
No wonder men are happier.

All of my friends are guys, except for the few women that share much of this list. I'll actually turn frustratedly red, then pale, when a phone call lasts more than a minute or two. You'd never guess by my contributions here, though.

I can be "man-clean" in about seven minutes. I've timed it. From workshop- or garage-filthy to polished and in a button-up shirt. Part of this was due to me shaving my head--liberating. 8)

A gentleman should have four pairs of shoes, though, I must add: workboots, street/casual shoes, black dress and brown dress. That's it.

For all the emasculation, guilt and punishment men have endured in the last 40 years, it's still good to be a guy.

LOL!! Those are good. I often wonder how women survived without cell phones before there was cell phones.

I like it! I'd love to see Lorraine respond with something equally witty and snarky.

UberHuberman: Unless Lorraine is a cop "on da job", it ain't gonna happen bud.

Hah! Probably not, but I thought I'd open that door. :p

Pretty sure she's SweetSmokeLover, but I could've gotten her name wrong.
