My adult son & daughter are on a 10 day vacation in Tokyo.

The fun has centered a lot around parks, shrines, anime…and FOOD!

He sent us a pic of some Takoyaki…fried balls with a mix of sauce and octopus. (See pic #1)

I replied by asking if they had found any Sharktopus Sushi. Fresh out I guess. (pic #2)

I preferred the okonomiyaki when I was there, but I’m not much for octopus. That should be a fun trip for them! Are they visiting the ghibli museum? Definitely worth a look if that’s the type of stuff they’re into.

I also remember the temples of Kamakura being a highlight but it’s been over a decade so my recollection may be off. Seems like the temple was built onto a hill with lots of stairs, and an abundance of wild cats that lived there.

Yes to both destinations…not sure about the okonomiyaki. They got tickets for their most desired events, etc. 6 months ago.
