i am happy with the out come. i know its not perfect but i like it.





 
Not too shabby then. What I'm really diggin is the graceful shank. That is not easy to pull off. Too bad your briar sucks. I would have rusticated it.
 
Really! You got nice shank to stem transition, and I think it's shaped well.
The large pit just adds character I think. I like it and for a 1st pipe it's dadburn good!  ;)
Look out Jesse, ya might have some competition.
 
Nicely done! The transition is as nice as any I've seen. I personally like the pits in the polished surface. It's a natural product and all! Really digging the birdseye and that cross grain panel is sweet.

Thanks guys I appreciate all the complements!!! I have a huge respect for pipe makers now that I realize how much time and effort goes into the details.

I haven't really messed with any kinda of rustication yet but I think that is my next step.
