Robert, adding you guys to our thoughts and prayers as well. Don't let the waiting get to you, it is always the hardest part of the process. My wife has some unusual stuff going on with her heart right now as well and we are going through the same process, hurry up and wait while she goes to a long chain of doctors and specialists.

Hang in there!
Sorry to hear Hunter!
In our thoughts and Prayers bro!!!

Hunter, I am so sorry that your wife is having problems with her heart. Rest assured that you and she are now and will remain in my and Linda's thoughts and prayers!!! Please let us know how her progress goes!!

My wife and I both thank you for your words of encouragement. We needed them!

When it comes to me, I have no problem waiting as long as I must... very patient... and, usually able to be somewhat unconcerned until there's reason to be concerned.

But, when it comes to my wife, I have very little patients. I go into this mode of protection that is much akin to that of a mother lion protecting one of her cubs!! It feels as though she should go to the head of the line...simply because she is who she is... such a wonderful lady!! And, when I get into that mode, it's extremely difficult for me to remember that there are others who, in their family members' eyes are just as important to them as Linda is to me!! But, I try!

Bruins, I feel reasonably sure there is nothing life threatening going on. If there were, surely to goodness the doctor would have sent her for a heart cath immediately! But, there still has to be something to raise a reasonable amount of concern in his mind. Otherwise, surely he would not be wanting to do a heart cath! That's much too dangerous of a procedure to be doing them "all willy-nilly!!"

Yes, she is quite anxious about getting it over with... and, about having it done at all. That is exactly why I am doing my best to conceal my worry and anxiety. I do my best to try and reassure her that everything is alright; based on just what you have said.

Anyway... I thank you, my brothers for your concern, well wishes, words of encouragement, and prayers!! I will let you all know something as soon as I can!!

Robert

Robert and all. Didn't want to hijack Robert's thread but thanks greatly for the words of encouragement. Just hoped Robert might find comfort knowing he is not alone in his ordeal. Spending our whole lives with the same person is rare enough these days, worries about their health is almost unbearable. We should know in a week or 2 if we have serious concerns or not.

No worries, brother Hunter... no worries at all!! I don't see you as having hijacked my post... I am not that selfish! I see you for what you are... a brother who through problems of his own is attempting to comfort and reassure another brother. For that, sir... I salute you!! And, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

It is my and my wife's most fervent prayer that things go well for you and your wife! We are believing for and awaiting the news of a positive outcome. It is also our prayer that you and your wife be given the strength to endure whatever tomorrow and tomorrow's tomorrow has in store for you!!

Blessings to you, my brother!!

Robert

Thank you for asking, brother Piet! At the time of this posting, my local time is 12:50 AM on Tuesday, September 28. Right now, she is doing fine. She and I are both anxious and somewhat worried about having to wait until October 4 to get the heart cath done. But, as has already been said in this thread... if the doctor felt it was something where here life was in imminent danger, she'd have already had the test done.

Again, thank you for asking, brother Piet!!!

Robert

My Brothers,

Please allow me to begin by thanking each and every one of you who offered prayers, thoughts, and well wishes concerning my wife and me! You are all gentlemen among gentlemen... the best of the best!! And, you are deeply appreciated!!!

Linda did finally have her heart cath done this afternoon. The great news is that there were NO blockages whatsoever!!! Thank the God of Heaven!!! And, get this... we went to the hospital anticipating an overnight stay because that's what the doctor's office told us would happen. But, I am pleased as punch to report that she and I are both back home now!!! You all just don't know what a load this news has lifted off my shoulders!!

Linda has asked me to make a special point of extending her gratitude to you fine gentlemen for your care and concern during this uncertain time for the both of us!!

Again, I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart!!

Yours in brotherhood,
Robert

That's great news Robert! I'm very pleased for you both!

Great news Broom, our prayers have not gone unaswered. Give Linda a hug for us so hard if any closer you'd be on the other side of her! Now fellas let's hope and pray for the same for Hunter's better half!

That is awesome news Rob! I am so pleased that things have worked out for the best for Linda. I agree wholeheartedly with Valky and will be sending more positive energy and thoughts to Hunter's wife :sunny:

Thank you so much, brother BD! Linda's laying down getting some much needed rest right now. But, I'll convey your sentiments to her in the morning!

I'm not long before having to hit the old fart sack myself! But, before I go, I sure would like to know what is going on with Hunter's wife. I'll offer up prayers on her behalf regardless whether I know what's going on or not. But, if I knew, I could be more specific in my request.

Robert

Robert, I can't tell you how pleased we are to hear that your wife got through her procedure and both it and the test results were so successful. Now let her rest and be the good husband for a few days.

Thanks to everyone for the thoughts about my wife Anne. She is still on the unknown list, she has had all her tests and procedures including a CT and 2 echo cardiograms, but the doctors are not in agreement with what is the cause of her problems. Her last tests were only 2 days ago so we are hopeful to hear something today. I am guessing it will be more tests including a heart catheter for her as well so they can get a better picture of what is going on inside her heart.

I will keep you all informed, thanks again, it is a great relief to at least share all this with someone.

My brothers, though I have a fair command of the English language, I do not possess the proper prose to accurately express the gratitude proffered each of you by my heart. Nor am I able to properly express what each of you mean to me. I thank you! And, you mean the world to me!

Though those two sentiments do not seem to me to be nearly enough, it is the best that I can conjugate. And, please know that they come from the deepest, warmest areas of my heart!!! Also know that Linda's gratitude parallels mine... for your thoughts and prayers for both of us... and for the friendship you have shown toward me!

My dearest brother Hunter... It was only a few years back that my memory was as as perfect as that of any man... and far better than most. On many occasions my memory's God given ability to so accurately recount happenings and verbalizations has bewildered many of my friends and acquaintances. But, years have a funny way of affecting such things. It would appear that my memory now has cracks and crevasses in it that it had never had heretofore. They are strange and unsettling for me... nonetheless, ever growing.

Though I do not accept this as either an excuse or just explanation for my memory's lapse concerning your wife's problems, it is nonetheless the factual reason for it. It is with a humble, embarrassed heart that I now beg your understanding and forgiveness for this flaw in my memory.

To prevent such future lapses, I now have notes concerning her and you that I have printed out and placed in conspicuous places in our home. In addition to other times during each day, I will offer thoughts and supplications on behalf of you and your wife every time I see one of those notes!

Continue to lean on the strength and care of your brothers here at BoB. It has been and remains a great and soothing balm for me!! Stay strong! And, remember that Our Father is the one who created your wife's body... and that He is The Great Physician!! I beg that He work His miracles and marvelous mysteries in the lives and bodies of both you and your wife! I know that He can!! And, I am believing that He will!!!!!

Bless you and your wife, my brother!!!

Robert

Not to down play the seriousness of either situation, but to reassure a little bit:

I had a heart cath done several years ago, and it was not nearly as bad a procedure as I had imagined it being. Stress and the unknown were definitely the worst of it.
