Had a local pipe maker Ken Silver in Garner, NC make me a poker and tossed in a matching tamper and pick. Going to have fun breaking in this horse. Already a good smoker!

That's quite the combination, reminds me of a Christmas pipe.

I noticed the maker uses “brass” plumbing fittings in his tampers. ..3/8” end cap, I think. Same thing I used to use. It works beautifully. Called a SharkBite PEX End Plug...
I’d recommend polishing the face of the thing (start with maybe 320 grit paper...then finer and finer, etc. The polished surface is MUCH easier to keep clean than if it has the original rough finish.
