Restoring an early Dunhill Shell

Though some of you might like to see this one. A pipe club friend asked me to have a go at reviving an old Dunhill. If my research holds, it's a 1918-21 Dunhill Shell Briar - pushing the century mark! Certainly the oldest pipe I've worked on to date.

It was a long and involved job, but it came together very nicely, I think.

It was a bit of a haul to get to the finish line. I'm glad the owner is happy, and I'm REALLY glad it's off my desk!

When you are holding the finised pipe, you really get a feel for its size. It's a tiny thang!

That was some amazing work you did on that pipe !! It looks to be a grp 2 in size? a lot of English pipes of that time were 'cause of the cost of tobacco in England. Damn fine job bro !!! :twisted:
