Rewaxing a Meer

Has anyone ever rewaxed a meer pipe? I got an old Pioneer and the wax is coming off in spots.

Yeah, Just rewaxed 3 of them. Dipped in melted beeswax for about 5-8 minutes, blow dried off with a heat gun to even out the wax on the surface of the meer.
Be careful of any cracks you might have in the meer...could expand and open up that crack on you.

No need. One was an antique over 100 years old and I had to be really careful with it. The other two might have had wax on them but it was thin.
Be careful of an open flame with liquid beeswax...very flamable.
