I just picked up a Ropp Dublin at the B&M. The price was right and it is a nice looking pipe.
I have never heard of Ropp before.
Whats the consensus gents?

From a basic search and little digging on PipePages, it seems like Ropp is a French marque, and were best known for their cherrywood (i.e. the material, though often in the cherrywood shape) pipes, though they did also produce briar pipes. Is yours briar, or what have you?

No personal experience with the brand, but I hope it shapes up to be a great smoker for you.

I have three Ropps. Two cherrywood; one briar. I thoroughly enjoy the cherrywood pipes. The briar is a smallish DH size 3 billiard. A few monor fills; but a decent pipe. I bought it at the Fort Monroe PX just before leaving for USAF bootcamp and OTS. That's 40 years ago....and it still smokes great  :pipe: FTRPLT
