As another observation, I spent four hours in a rather smoke-choked room with about ten other pipe'sters all firing up. Hotboxed, no air circulation and had there been a laser-light show, would have been impressive beams everywhere.
About two hours after I had left, I could barely smell the smoke on my clothing. No, my nose wasn't fried, either. This morning, the jacket and cap I wore there were almost free of any smoke smell, and I tested this with a devout non-smoker.
I sometimes spend two minutes holding my breath and racing to the other side of a cigarette moke-filled casino here in Reno, just to get to the diner (which is non-smoking), and just that little trip makes me REEK. My jacket is unusable for days because it smells so bad.
I hear rumors cig tobacco and pipe tobacco are slightly different (no really, I heard this somewhere, once or twice  ) ... it just makes me wonder what is going on there. I can only imagine what cig smoke does to the lungs if it sticks to clothing this bad. What do they do to those things?
Bleh!!!
