Suggested Mild Tobaccos to Start With?

I'm a total newbie. I was overwhelmed by the assortment of different tobaccos out there.

I went to a local tobacco place and they gave me a way too strong English blend heavy it latakia. Just the smell of it in a plastic bag in my car was too much. I went to another place and they gave me a cheap rum flavored aromatic ("Montego Bay"). Not great and goopy.

I sought out Squadron Leader and found it. I think I'm in love. Not too strong and not too weak. Just right.

Hear hear. Squadron Leader was among my first, and that was before I read a bunch of people saying it was "too strong," etc...glad I didn't listen to them, or rather, glad I didn't find their warnings. :lol: Good choice for new guys, if you ask me.
