I'm very fond of an aged tin of McClellands Va #22- Very sweet and spicy, I swear I taste egg nog.

I've experienced and recommend:

Orlik Golden Sliced*
Escudo*
SG St. James Flake*

C&D Briar Fox
C&D Opening Night
GLP Union Square

SG FVF
McC Dark Star
McC Blackwoods Flake

* contain Perique

My three favs in order of fave.
1. McClellands Fragrant Matured 2000 - pure Red Va's in a nice broken flake - bulk only
2. McClellands Blackwoods Flake - Red Va's w/ Black Stoved Va's - tins.
3. Dunhill's Royal Yacht - Golden Va's = tins (noote: major nic hit )
My others would be:
4. Dunhill's Flake - Va's -solid flake - tins.
5. McClellands Virginia Woods - ready rubbed - tins
These are all in my current rotation of smoking 'bac but I can wholeheartedly recomend just about all of McClellands Va's . Some will say different that's just my HO :p

My favorite Virginias:
Union Square
Opening Night
Hamborger Veermaster
Hal O' The Wynd
Wessex Brigade - Campaign
Full Virginia Flake

There are so many great ones. I'll limit my recommendation to two just so that my post will be punchy for its directness and simplicity.

Dunhill Flake and Rattray's Old Gowrie. Dunhill Flake for its delicious citrus directness and Rattray's Old Gowrie for the immense complexity; a bowl of Old Gowrie in one of my pipes changes three times before it's done it's that complex.
