This tin is about 5 years old, black intact flakes with an aroma of chocolate and plums with a slight lakeland perfume. there are crystals on the flakes that reflect the light. I must say this is one of the most interesting tobaccos I've had in a long time. it tastes like those little Entenmanns devils food donuts that are dipped in ras pberry syrup. very good! I wonder if this is actually G&H louisiana flake? this is my first Tavern Tobacco. i'm kicking myself for not stocking up on their line. sigh. c'est la vie.

I think all their flakes were tinned by Samuel Gawith. Their Laurel Flake was my all time favorite but I was only just exploring tobaccos when I first bought a few tins. By the time I realized how much I like it compared to others it was gone forever...
