Hello all...I'm doing a little research on tennon sizes. I would like to know the different sizes of tennons that different pipe makers use, especially on bent pipes. If you have calipers and care to measure, I would love to know the maker, the shape of pipe, and the tennon size for whatever pipe(s) you choose. Many thanks! -Paul

I use 3/8" for most of my bents as it allows a little more freedom in drilling angles. I have used 1/2 inch occassionally, but only on huge pipes, naturally.

I have an old Il Ceppo that is around 1/2" for tenon diameter, and a Ser Jac that is pretty large too.

Almost all the rest of the pipes I own are around 9mm which translates to about 5/16".
