Well here comes Ida, time to batten down the hatches. I live 30 miles north of the coast of Mississippi.

Tie everything down, gas up and stock my tobacco. Luckly just got a copy of The Ultimate Pipe book.

Might not be able to get to the forum if the lines go down. At least with the new book

i can get my Pipe information fix. And i hope the UPS truck makes it with my tobacco order. LOL

Still have a good stock on hand if it does not. :D

If anyone else is in the area of the storm the best of luck to yall. be safe

Any suggestions on smoking a pipe in 70 mph winds? :)

Hope it slows to subtropical by the time it makes landfall.

In any case, stay safe and dry.

Hope all goes well, stay safe. I'll be praying for all that are in the path.

Hang in there brother. The only advice I can giver re smoking in a 70 mph wind is to wear a yellow slicker and lash your little daughter to the mast. :study:

No storms in the Gulf all season and
we get one in mid-November?? WTF?
It probably won't amount to much;
the water has cooled quite a bit.

I'm rootin' for you friend.
Keep your ash from flying all over the place!

thank all of you for your thoughts. as of now it seems to be going to Gulf shores pensicola. To the all folks that way, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Already weakening; won't cause too much trouble.
On the other hand, Ida killed at least 124 in El Salvador.

Hope you guys on the Gulf pulled through OK?
Looks like we're about to get a days worth of rain out of Ida.
