You know, everyone's been posting pictures of their swell shops, B&Ms and tobacconists... why not mine? It ain't big, but it's fun! These pictures were taken at various events, which can boast 20 - 100 people, even with radio stations setting up as announcement points. Tobacco is alive and well in Reno!

They managed to catch me enjoying a rarity, a cigar!

Great shots K. Looks like a great environment and plenty of people there too. That's encouraging. Where is that place located??

Pretty much in the center of town... south of the gambling district of "downtown" but north of the newer developments. Kind of a strip mall cubby of sorts.

Interesting how the seating is in the middle of the shop! Alows for more customer interaction with each other ! Down here, the "smoking lounge" has to be a seperate room with a door to close it off ftom the retail sales area. That's all to change on the the first of this next year when the "smoking lounge" will have to go away here in my city. Enjoy it :p

Smoking is not a priority issue for banning here in Nevada/Reno. We only recently outlawed smoking in dining establishments, and that's as far as it went. Personally, that's fine with me. I don't eat and smoke, and never did when I smoked cigarettes, either. Cigarettes have both ruined and helped piping and cigar smoking to greater and lesser degrees, and it's a conflict I'll never understand, especially in the face of the kind of people that make a living out of merely obstructing for the sake of it. The bars, lounges, dance clubs, casinos, tobacco shops (et al) will be safe here for a long, long time.

Yeah, one of the Tucson B&Ms has an airtight terrarium so the smoke doesn't invade the air of "decent folk" who might come in, lol. I like how you do it up there. We smoke in here, dammit!

Don't tell that to Alex and Zach in Luddington.
I think theres three places in the whole city of Grand Rapids
And there you go. Three more places you know of where you can smoke inside in Michigan. Glad to help. And now, back to Tinder Box: Reno.

Ain't much else to say the pictures haven't already said.

Come to think of it, I haven't been there since the last Pipe Party...been a heck of a year. There's another Pipe Party this Friday... hope I can make it.

Most important those leather chairs look comfortable.

8 months post lower back surgery, and I pay special attention to & take great stock in being able to lounge in a cushy seat.

That's what they said over in Dallas, Ft. Worth and all over the Metroplex. Last year Dallas, banned ALL smoking in bars, nightclubs, and outside within 50 feet from an access door to ANY building that opens on the street. Ft. Worth is following suit and many other cities here are following which includes where I live. Most of these places had already stopped ALL smoking in Resteraunts and Bowling Alleys and one of the 'burb cities is trying to ban smoking of ANY kind OUTSIDE even on your own property. ! These folks are persistent and mean to accomplish what they want  NEVER say NEVER

Never said "never," there, Monbla. 8) It just isn't much an issue here right now. It very well could be. Nevada, for better or worse, ain't Texas (just like Las Vegas ain't really Nevada). People will try to make it California, though, which is worrisome.
