OK, so I'm late to the party....

After living in the area this show was largely filmed in back '90 (the year I moved here actually!) I had heard of it but never saw it. Until today!

Thanks to our superb library I now have all 29 episodes on an extended loan. And watched the first 2-hr pilot this afternoon.

Full disclosure - I live in the area this was filmed in, right down to the Mar-T R&R Cafe (actually named Twede's), Great Northern Hotel (known locally as the Salish Lodge) which is now owned by the Muckleshoot tribe. The Snoqualmie tribe owns the land and Casino nearby. (And they could have had this property as well, but that's a discussion for another day.)

And there were many other shots that I identified with. Including and especially the dilapidated bridge. It's all local stuff to me.

Right, so the 2-hr pilot hooked me. And I'll be looking forward to the rest of the series. So far!

And yes, there was a new series that was filmed here recently. I'll see that in due course.

I remember when this was first airing we used to RUSH home so we wouldn’t miss anything. We were totally hooked. It was so dang WEIRD.


Has anyone out there ever watched, “The Lost Skeleton of Cadavera”?

Forgot to add that a great many shots include Mt. Si, which is the predominant landscape feature here in Snoqualmie and North Bend. Mt. Si is visible on any semi clear day and sort of broods over the area. I also recognized the roads that were shown as cars travelled down with Mt. Si in the background. All local stuff.

And the waterfall - Snoqualmie Falls - right at the Salish Lodge (Great Northern Hotel in the series) is about a mile from my brewery. Supposedly the #2 tourist attraction after Mt. Rainier in W. Washington.

I'm working my way through the original series of 29 episodes, and will also get in the new series in due course. In fact I remember when they filmed the new series not too long ago, as they changed the sign on Twedes cafe back to the Mar-T for filming. I drive right by there to the brewery and back every day.

Now I'm starting to understand the cult following of this show, and why there are always so many tourists taking pics outside Twedes with Mt. Si in the background. Yet I've never had their cherry pie, which of course they are noted for.

Now firmly entrenched into the series. Starting to binge watch it. Too much to discuss right now but it's hooked me big time!

One thing I'd sure like is to to have close captioning as some of the dialogue is difficult or impossible to understand. While I sort of get the general idea, it raises more questions than it answers.

In any case it's a way great series, and I can see getting this DVD set in after I return it to the library.

The scene where the ex-girlfriend and new boyfriend make it on the kitchen table in front of the paralyzed ex boyfriend sitting there in the wheelchair, unable to move a muscle...is very likely a classic of nasty excellence that even the great David Lynch may never surpass.

Just finished the original series, and I have more questions than answers! Too much to go into right now. I have the special features to watch before I return this to the library, but those are just peripheral to the story line. And I don't expect an conclusion from them, but will view them anyway so as to have a full accounting.

The 3rd season is now being burned for me on DVD, courtesy of a bud with the connection to do this as I don't have the necessary hookups. I'll be viewing that soon.

I'm a big Twin Peaks fan also.  I have the Gold Box Edition and have watched just the beginning only because my dvr broke!  I put the set away and forgot about it unit now!  Shoot, now I'll have to find another dvr to use.  I'm sure my son will let me borrow one, he has a lot of video stuff.  Or, I could just go out and buy one if they still make them!!!  Now I'm excited to watch this again. :bounce:

Now 2 episodes into season 3, and have to say it's hooked me once again!

Interesting to see how the ~25 years between the original 2 seasons have aged the main characters. And Lynch has his signature stamp on this all over again!

Looking forward to the rest of the season. Creepy!

I was pretty young when Twin Peaks first aired and was hooked even at an age when I couldn't fully appreciate the series. Season three was just as good, although in a new and fresh way. Also, I absolutely loved Dougie.

Did you watch Fire Walk With Me? It clears up everything in Seasons 1 & 2, and frankly, I don't think I would have understood Season 3 without it. I think it forms the entire foundation for Season 3, actually.

I’ve only read the first bit of the first book. Kinda slow going but I’ve been told it helps explain a lot in the 3rd season. I haven’t snagged the the 2nd one yet, apparently it ties up some loose ends from the series.

I’ve only read the first bit of the first book. Kinda slow going but I’ve been told it helps explain a lot in the 3rd season. I haven’t snagged the the 2nd one yet, apparently it ties up some loose ends from the series.

I read the reviews about these books on amazon and they seem to be mostly positive, except for perhaps readers who got in the kindle versions. I'm not a kindle guy so would be getting in the hard copies if I decide to do it. And I don't hold the reviews as gospel anyway.

If they can help explain the details that seem to be obtuse to me it would be helpful.

If you could offer your opinion on the book you're reading that would be appreciated.
