I opened a tin of EMP the other day, and so far I haven't really liked the stuff, but I want to give it a few more bowls b4 I decide, but what I was wondering is if I decide I do not wish to keep on smoking this at this time could I close the tin, slide it in a vacuum bag and seal it?

At this point putting it in a new or sanitized mason jar with a new top would be your best option. No vacuum needed.

Once you open it, smoke it! or put the tin contents in a Mason Jar for long term storage. Ya can't "re-seal" opened tins enough for that. :p

well I meant leave it in the vacuum bag, I get that a mason jar is good enough but I thought the vac bag would keep it more fresh with no air at all, and also that way if I ever decided to pass it on to someone it would be unbreakable, I just was wondering if it would hurt the tobacco in any kind of way, like it does if you vac seal garlic or mushrooms

There is still air transfer over time with vacuum sealed bags. And as I understand it little if any aging benefits.

Mason jars with good lids won't allow air transfer and do allow for aging due to the air in them. If you want as little air as possible use a small jar and pack it in.

Put the tin in the bag and seal it like you want to. Nothing bad will come of it. You don't care for it, so one of two things will happen. You'll either give it another try and change your mind, or you'll find someone to trade it to. Either way, you're not talking about keeping it on hand for decades. Your first instinct was correct.

I don't know as its true but the adage used to be the although vacuum sealing stored tobacco well, the tobacco would not age due to the absence of air. Air is used during the anaerobic phase and precedes the anaerobic phase, during which time all the chemical goodies of aging accrue.
