I've owned a few, kept a couple. Good wood, pretty good workmanship, overall good smokers. Used to be that you could pick em up on the cheap which made em a great pipe - quality of product vs. cost. The ones I've owned that I kept have very good drilling and (seemingly) good attention to detail. The ones I parted with did not. I'd rank them above Savinelli, on par with Cavicchi, but a notch below Ser Jacopo.
