This music may not be everyone's cup of tea but you can't deny this guys talent. John Butler "Ocean".
Everytime he plays it live he plays it different....this is by far the best version I've seen. One of the best guitar performances I've ever seen....up there with Stevie Ray Vaughn's Texas Flood off of "Live at El Mocambo"....here it is. Btw don't be freaked out by his fingernails lol they're glued on acrylics.

Ok two totally different styles but if you like the fuckin blues baby this is for you....SRV Texas Flood live at the El Mocambo in Toronto in "83"...pls watch the whole thing he will amaze you later in the performance. Lol this makes me want to get a cheap bottle of scotch and a carton of cigarettes....get hammered and pretend like I'm depressed.

Like that John Butler, first time I heard him. Some good pick'en on that 12 string.
But one odd thing is, its a 12 string but its missing a nut so I reckon he's got it strung as a 11 string? Sounded good. :)
Lindsey Buckingham is also great.

Guy I see that you're a guitar instructor. Not being a musician myself I can't tell if that ocean piece is difficult to play. It LOOKS incredibly difficult...especially on a 12......err 11 string. Seems the picking part is far more difficult than the fretting part. Did you watch SRV play behind his back better than 99% of guitarists can play normally? Lol I was amazed by that...I'm a huge Stevie Ray Vaughan fan.

None of it is “easy”, fluid playing never is.
