Volume of smoke question

To the OP I can understand the character of the smoke. There is a level of satisfaction, for me, upon a bold release of smoke, versus a wisp. I agree flavor is usually independent on the volume/thickness/bold-ness of the output smoke, and copious amounts of smoke does lead to potential mouth burn due to extended time with very hot smoke. Some blends do just have more smoke output per puff than others. I do not think you'll find many who rank/prefer blends based on that result.
