Idlefellow
West of the East and East of the West
I feel this way when one of my "babies" is in the shop and not in its place, whether it be an instrument, shotgun, fly rod, whatever, and I have that feeling now. I left my Martin HD-28 in the hopefully capable hands of an authorized Martin repair shop; after 46 years the pickguard has raised and the top has the infamous Martin pickguard crack. Back in the day having a 40-year-old Martin guitar was strong medicine, and I finally have one; the secret is buy a new one and live long enough. It's not like I don't have others I can play, but this guitar has been all over the country with me, and you know; old friends and all that. I'll be relieved when she's safe at home. She's the one on the right for any non-guitar folks...
