Why do we have two Nostrils?

I have noticed more lately one nostril being easier to breathe through that the other, and that changing throughout the day.

I particularly enjoyed the small segment on Neural Adaptation. As well as the sense of smell being directly tied to our brain's limbic system. I agree, really cool stuff.
