If you're ever in Myrtle Beach, visit Low Country Pipe and Cigar in Little River, SC. www.lowcountrypipeandcigar.com It's the friendliest, most complete pipe tobacconist I've ever patronized. Unlike most shops, it's a pipe shop first and a cigar shop second although they do have a well stocked walk-in cigar humidor. They have over 200 bulk blends in stock. Patrons are encouraged to sample a bowl of anything in stock. This is a great way to try a tobacco without buying a quantity. They also have closeouts and dented cans from their sister company Smokingpipes.com. I got some C&D blends with the old label @ $5/tin. Low Country is the retail outlet for Smokingpipes. Prices at both companies are the same. At one time, they were at the same location, but Smokingpipes grew and moved nearby to an industrial type location which is not open to the public.

Thanks for posting. I will definitely try to make it there next year during my yearly golf trip.

Oh man, what I'd give to have a place like that round the corner...

I wish that too Stick. Looks like I'll have to remember this place for my annual vacation.

Sounds like a way great place Lysander. I'd love a place like that to hang out at.

There's an Indian Casino near me that has a cigar bar, and being on the Rez it allows smoking. Been there once and it was nice enough, but the Casino scene just isn't my kind of thing.

Cheers,

RR

After a few years of trying to find time on vacation to visit I got to hang out there on Black Friday. No contest the best store I was in that day. Very friendly guy at the register suggested I fill a bowl from their selection, before I even got 10 feet in to the place. Really nice smoking area, leather couches, fantastic filtration. I ended up staying for an hour or so. Got some samples for me and my daughter, picked up a few dented but sealed tins and just thoroughly enjoyed the visit. I will definitely be back , as often as I can get to the area. Heck my wife even got a cookie recipe from a lady that seemed to work there. Tobacco and cookies...what more can one ask? A friendly, relatively quiet place to hide out on Black Friday was worth way more than I spent.

Always hit this place when I/we vacation in/near MB, which fortunately is quite often! Amazing how many tins they have open for you to enjoy. Can be a little hard to find, but once there, plan to take some time and enjoy a really friendly B&M pipe store!! FTRPLT

BTW...They have IPads/laptops/confusers so that you can peruse all their pipes. Pick one out and they will motor it over to you!!
