Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking year 2012 Sutliff BRG in a brown “rocky” smooth medium bend 1970s Peterson 309 Standard sculpted billiard military mount with a nickel ferrule and a black vulcanite saddle stem. Magnum Roastery Jamaican Blue Mountain, neat, is my drink. Time to chat with my Archie editor.

I just want to take a moment to say that you fellas have been great about building this thread into something very interesting and fun. New people joining in on the fun, posting their smokes and being a part of this community has elevated this thread to the best it's been in years. My thanks to all of you, and to any lurkers who may be reading this, please consider joining in on the fun.

Nicely said Jim, I love the playful banter on this thread, but I always enjoy reading your posts, as I find them very informative. For me its the best of both worlds.

Nearing the last quarter of the last of this sample of year 1997 PCCA Syrian Star in a brown medium bend 2002 Ser Jacopo Delecta Fatta A Mano R1 sandblast Rhodesian with a smooth extension at the shank with a military mount and a tapered black acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I also enjoy the light hearted banter and Jim's posts, except when he posts photos of gorgeous pipes that I can never hope to own. Okay, so I'm jealous. At least I get to pilfer some of his widdle bergs once in a while, lol.
Now it's CS Shepherds Pie in a Comoys 1993 Xmas straight billiard. Tazo orange spice tea on the side. Been raining all afternoon. Now 62 and overcast.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Ascanian No. 1 in a straight smooth dark brown 1930s (Comoy’s) The Exmoor Pipe 283 chubby Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This will get me to dinner time.

JimInks,

Always nice to have The Godfather’s blessings! When I joined BoB, I had know idea we had THE Jim Amash as a resident expert in pipes and art. Sometimes I think we might be getting a little off topic from our “What are you smoking.” title, but everyone seems to enjoy the thread. Even with the social leper (me) on board. Lol.

Also, thanks for all the untold hours of reviewing tobacco and being a spokesperson for the pipe community. If you aren’t a Doctor of Pipes, you should be my friend. Dr. JimInks has a good ring! 😀

Last smoke of the day,Custombilt straight billiard with CAO Bella vanilla and a decaf k-cup.
I agree with Jim,it`s been great lately,Zippo our English buddy is a barrel of laughs!
Its a pleasure to serve 🤣
but in truth, you deliver some great laughs too EZ, along with Ranger, Sturdy and others. Which makes this group by far the best online community I've ever been a member of.

Sneaks in and carefully pilfers Jim's sandblasted rhodesian, whilst pointing a finger at Ranger 👉

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm not far from finishing this bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching the Braves-Giants game.

Thank you for the very kind words. I've never really given any thought about the Doctor of Pipes award. Things like that are up to the committee, and I have no idea who they are except I think they run the Chicago Pipe Show. I just do what I do, and if anything I do helps others, well, that is the goal. There's no point in having knowledge if you won't share it.

Hmm, Doctor of pipes. Would that make you a PPhd???
