You guys that are making your own blend simply amaze me. Awesome job by all of you.

I had a piece of briar blow up on me while turning it on the lathe.  The piece left over was large enough to make a decent pen with.  I now have a matching set.

Something I made for that "Zen" pipe smoking time where you want ultimate relaxation.  4" x 2" spalted maple oil candle.  Hope you like it!

I am truly amazed at the work you do. To make something that gorgeous on your 8th pipe astounds me. It took me at least a dozen or more pipes to make before I was even remotely satisfied with the results of my work. My hat's off to you! keep up the GREAT work!

I've gotten into turning large stuff.  My most recent is a matching set of table lamps.  The bases are 11" tall, 5" diameter, made with ambrosia maple.  Hope you like 'em.  The first is finished.  The second still needs assembly.

Unfortunately no. Too soft of a wood. Too bad though, it would make a cool looking pipe. Thanks.

Well, the piece of Rainbow Poplar burl I posted back in January finally dried out and I had a chance to finish turn it. I used a friction polish on this one because I noticed (with Rainbow Poplar) that other finishes turn the purples more of a brown color. I wanted to keep all of the colors in...

Wow, nice pipe there. I have to get back to pipes again one of these days. I've been so busy with bowls and other wood turning projects that pipes just haven't made it to the to-do list.

Pretty damn cool knife there. Better than I would ever do on a first try at a knife. The metal for the blade is awesome. Where do you get steel like that? Again, nice work and very impressive. Bob
