Ok, I have been doing my homework (smoking a lot of cigars) and I am back in the groove. La Flor Dominicanas: I for got how much I like just about everything from this label. I remember the 2000 series. Can you still find those? Avo: I like just about everything here, too. Drew Estate...

Thanks, tslots. Funny you mention the Padron 1926. I had one last night and it was right up my alley. $14 doesn't make it an every day smoke, but it was a treat. I have been to Mission Pipe plenty of times for cigars and pipe tobacco. Nice place. This new joint in Livermore, The Cave...

    Pipes and pinball?

I have made it to Alameda to play pinball. Nice place and nice machines. I also just got back from Las Vegas and I played at the Pinball Hall of Fame. Lots of machines, pay per play, not a flat rate like Alameda. The machines were is varying states of repair. Mostly pretty good shape, but...

I have Ben going back and forth between pipes and cigars. Pipes are for my leisure time with only a drink in hand. I prefer the Latakia. It is too hard to carry around my pipes and accessories when doing other activities and I have turned back to the cigar more often. As listed in the...

    Deer season!

Y'all have big deer and normal seasons. Here in the country of California things just ain't right. We hunt in 85-105 degree temperatures at about 3000 foot elevation. Got a special private place with about 20,000 acres. Right now it is dry as my ashtray. Got some big hogs but we have black...

    Sutliff No.5

I just found a place with a lot of Sutliffe on the shelf and no takers. The guy said any two for ten bucks. There was some No. 5 up there. I am on it tomorrow. Glad I saw this. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the tip...

    Deer season!

Well, in Most of CA, deer season opens in a few weeks. Anyone as excited as I am? What do you shoot for these critters? I am a .270 guy with an open sight 30-30 lever for pigs and quick shots.

    Your favorite Aromatic

I enjoy that 1Q, too. I find I have to be pretty lazy to enjoy it as it seems to be best smoked cool and slow. My wife loves the note and I get pleasure out of relaxing with it. inexpensive and readily available.

    Butera Royal Vintage no. 2

My work neighbor gave me a tin from 2006. I have had a few bowls now and I gotta say that I like this stuff a lot. I can't get any tongue burn. It smokes with great white billows and it tastes awesome. I need to get more! Seriously, I enjoy this smoke! Wow.

    Pipes and pinball?

It is tough to find a pinball game to play around Livermore. There was a pizza place in Walnut Creek....Pinky's Pizza...they had good, cheap pitchers of beer and a rotation of two or three pins. Great pizza, too. I was sad when Tom closed doors of that place. Wonder where some pins are now?
