I have smoked MR ever since I purchased my first tin over a year ago. It's the number one tobacco in my current rotation. Out of tribute to the Hannibal Bard himself I smoke it in a Missouri Meerschaum Mark Twain cob... a great smoke in a fine little pipe. :study:
Do any of you older pipers remember London Dock OTC blend? Is there a modern match since it's been off the market for some time? I had about a 25 year hiatus before I picked up my pipe again a couple years back and several of my old favorites seem to have disappeared.
Mississippi Mud in my vintage cane stemmed cob. It's raining like the dickens but I'm really enjoying this smoke. :)
(wish I had some of that Rainy Day to try out today) :face:
Peterson's Perfect Plug in a small Turkish Calabash meer. I've tried slicing this plug but I don't seem to have anything sharp enough so I peeled off a couple leaves, cut 'em into little squares and stuffed 'em in the pipe. This is some powerful leaf and I don't think I would want to smoke it...
(I wonder at times if JimInks sleeps with a pipe in his mouth?)
Mississippi Mud in my little sultan-head Turkish Meer with a cup of Newman's Reserve coffee while reading Craig Johnson's "Hell is Empty" rocking on my back porch enjoying a perfectly beautiful day in Austin Texas (totally AVOIDING...
Sometimes I'm just lazy and pick the pipe that's easiest to clean. ;) Tobacco selection is always the first choice (maybe because I have more blends in my rotation than pipes :).
