I love Haddo's. Probably the 10th blend I've tried and I can already tell it's going to be a staple for as long as it's available. I would say that in my experience it is heavy on nicotine.
Hmm, as a newer pipe smoker myself I would suggest some Virginia blends or a mild burley blend like Stokkebye Cube Cut. Going from aromatics to Squadron Leader is like recommending whiskey to someone new to wine drinking.
Came to post Silk Road Teas, but I guess you have the same experience as me. They used to be cool, man! Now they're turning into a Republic of Tea clone!!!
From my years of technology fanaticism I've learned that there is no point and no way to sway peoples tech decisions. That's why whenever a relative or friend asks "what should I get" I just say "whichever you like the most." It's all about finding what works for you and your applications...
I use Wilkinson Sword, at approximately $0.18/blade I spend about $9/year on razors. Not the best but I can buy them locally.
Also got my wife to switch to a DE razor for her legs. Cut that cost from $24/month to $1.80/month. She likes it.
Well, I did manage to smoke a pipe while hand-watering the new grass on my lawn this morning. It was my first multi-task pipe. I feel like I've reached a new level. Still not as good as the solitary contemplative pipe though. English blend.
For me, relighting is an annoyance both in taste and time. It takes away the consistency of the smoke. Who likes to relight a cigar? Nobody, that's who. Why would pipes be any different?
I had the hardest time for about a month trying to keep a pipe lit throughout the entire bowl. Relighting over, and over, and over. First I thought it was a moisture issue, I needed to dry out the tobacco more. Wrong. Then I thought it was a packing issue, I was packing the bowl too tight...
I bought a tin of SG Navy Flake and some bulk Black Russian aromatic yesterday at the Briar Shoppe in Houston, Tx. They actually had around 10 tins of SG Squadron Leader, Navy Flake, and Penzance in the store FYI. Couldn't bring myself to pay $22 for a tin of Penzance, I hear it's good though...
I'm not an Apple fan at all (overreaching control and DRM in my opinion) , but I have to admit that without the "i" innovations I wouldn't be posting this from my beloved Android platform.
I think the calabash origin was a result of early actors portraying Holmes. I read somewhere that they chose a calabash because it was easier to hold in the mouth and talk without having to use your hands to hold it. And then it just stuck I guess. It was probably more appealing as a stylized...
Oh man, virginias. It's like what I always thought cigarettes (from my college years) should taste like. Instead of the pressed cardboard flavor I remember. Or maybe I just smoked crappy cigarettes?
No, this FVF has me hooked. I almost don't want to smoke any more of it and just...
