We had about a minute and a half of totality, visible through the clouds. Sadly, I was unable to smoke a pipe on the roof of the hospital :/ It was definitely a good show. Too cloudy for shadowbands and the crescent shadows but still pretty special.

A friend's kid dubbed me unclebeer when he was old enough to fetch beers for me on poker night. That was kind of a long time ago, but after awhile it stuck and I bought unclebeer.org, something like 15 years ago.

I'm right smack dab in the middle of the eclipse path. I'll be watching from the roof of the hospital where I work, the only question is whether I'll be able to drive home in under an hour or not.
