Just finished smoking Sutliff The Old Boss 175th Anniversary Blend in a 2003 URAL full bend big bowl egg shaped Lattice meer with a black acrylic saddle stem. It goes on sale April 23 at 6 p.m. EST. Been reviewing and playing with the scampers. Listening to the Braves-Rangers game on the XM since the TV broadcast is on rotten Apple Plus.

Almost a third of the way through his bowl of 2015 Mac Baren Modern Virginia in a medium bend, smooth dark brown 1950s Peterson 999 Shamrock chubby Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Second time smoking this pipe which I am dedicating to Modern Virginia.

Blackberry winter here, so in the low 60's F, and outside in my wool. C&D Steamworks in a Yello-Bole Honey Cured Briar 2213B. To me, this is one of the most well proportioned author shapes. It is a good smoker, and should be from the 1930's. It still has the stinger. If I can find more Steamworks, I'll buy it.

The friend who's sharing some of our land this summer stopped by so we, me, could electrify the fence for a test. He's a true skeptic! He touched the net and felt nothing so I told him to touch the ground pole and fence, zap! He was still unsure of a lamb or predator being fearful of the fence. I explained the insulation from his sneaker soles and had him remove his sneakers and socks and touch the fence, ZAP! Mission accomplished!

We finished dinner, wild caught salmon and asparagus, and I cleaned and reloaded this mornings Diplomat with Westminster. Just before dinner Lynda captured this @JimInks moment

Long day. First pioe this evening. My Barling 6224 EXEL TVF King Apple with taper vulcanite stem. I bought this pipe new at Diebels Pipe shop in the early 70s. Beautiful smoker, a great fat apple. I have MB Black Ambrosia in it - I like this Cavendish. Dinner was 5 oz of lean hamburger smoothered in mushrooms with French cut green beans. Drinking a 19 yr old Dewars. Snow flurries here. Gazebo is warm.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, orange roughy and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I've passed the first third of this bowl of year 2014 Astley’s No. 55 in a straight smooth dark brown year 1933 Parker Super Bruyere patent 10 T 81/F lovat with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Been quite a while since I smoked this great smoker. Time to clean a few pipes. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Cool, man. And I know a couple of affectionate orange tabbies who could take up the rest of your lap. :) They are now a month old, and won't stop biting and bathing me.

Half way through this bowl of year 2020 D&R VIP in a 2004 smooth long shank Trever Talbot Ligne Bretagne Faite en Bretagne 4/3 lumberman with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Going to work now.

Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend.

I took a work break after two a.m. only to hear howling and crying outside. It’s been raining for a while, and Daisy the Feral Princess wanted in. Abner the Eager was soaking wet and crying because the also soaking wet Harry the Hairy was doing that mournful howling of his. That really scares all the ferals. Tomato the Brave was hiding under the deck lounge, and wouldn’t budge.

I fed Harry, and let Abner in, and dried him off with a towel for which he was very grateful. He was even more grateful for the food. Unfortunately for me, he wasn’t quite as grateful afterward because he very lightly sprayed an unopened bag of dry food. I put him out, and carried him to the side of deck while Harry restarted his howling. This is the second time in the last two indoor visits that Abner did that. I didn’t think he would do it this time because Sam and the scampers are in the back bathroom. Looks like his second chance is his last, I’m sorry to say, but I can’t have a cat spraying in my house. Past experience has taught me that neutered male cats will still spray, so getting Abner fixed probably wouldn’t solve the problem. I know he misses spending time inside with us, but all we can do is to feed him outside from now on. He's a very sweet boy with a lot of heart, and I wish we could find a home for him.
