Pipe Smoking in What You are Reading

I am currently reading two different books. Stephen King's 11/12/63. About a guy that goes back in time and tries to stop the Kennedy assassination. And a non fiction book by Peter L. Bergen called, The Longest War. About the ongoing war between America and Al-Qaeda. This guy sat face to face...

    Parfait Anyone?

I do the parfait thing every now and then. Today I tried a blend of RLP-6 and some Peter Stokkebye luxury navy flake. Really sweetened things up and made a copious amount of smoke to boot. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit...

How to smoke Stokkebye Bullseye Medallions??

For me, after much trial and error, I found that breaking the rings up in little pinches seems to do the trick, and the cavendish gets mixed in with the rest. I was wondering if P.S. makes something like this with a bit more of the cavendish? :pirat:

    What's your favorite beer?

Hi all, I'm not a big beer drinker, but my tastes lean towards the darker brews. What is your favorite mass-distributed beer? Guiness Draught What is your favorite beer? Berghoff Bock, probably not available nationwide. I believe the brewery is in Chicago somewhere. I only found it in one...

    Favorite Book?

Besides the Bible, one of my favorite books of all time would have to be Stephen King's, The Stand. The movie left much to be desired, but the book is a nail biting page turner. Only wish he'd do a sequel to it, as so many things were left unanswered at the end of the tale...

    Suggestions for new blends

My tobacconist's mixes this one up for me, and with only two tobaccos in the mix, it's a no brainer. 1oz. Golden Virginia 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 oz. Latakia - Sometimes you just gotta have a bit more of the Latakia. I call it my poor mans Squadron Leader. After it's aged a bit, it's pretty danged...

    Mac Baren's Symphony

I've tried two of Mac B's blends. Symphony and Virginia #1... They both burned like a furnace, and left my tongue in agony. After a bit of aging, they got a wee bit better, but even smoked slowly with shallow puffs, they could still get really hot. Also IMHO, they weren't all that flavorful either.

    Frog Morton OTB

On The Bayou is the only blend I've tried so far in the Frog series. I really love this blend. I'd never tried anything with Perique before, and found it to be an interesting taste, which I picked up on right away. Someone else had described it as a peppery flavor, and indeed this was a good...

Hi Group, I'm relatively new to the pipe. I live in Indianapolis, with a wife, two cats, and a min-pin named Speck. The dogs' mine, the cats' are hers. I have about 20 pipes in my collection, and the missus is wanting to know why I need so many? I told her it's kinda like stamp collecting. She...
