    Pease Pilgrimage

Hey yak, You could hit "Control F" to do a page search of the word "quantumboy", i'm sure it would be a lot easier. Well, I learned something new that will make using computers easier. I know there are lots of other shortcuts I know nothing about. Thanks Maiser.

Doing a budget for my pipe tobacco inventory

You have to take into account that tobacco will never be any cheaper than it is today. So you should buy now as much as you can afford. You'll be building a cellar and not have to buy as much later as the prices increase over the years.

137 "sealed tins" on ebay, Where do you stand?

I don't understand the concerns expressed here. Nobody is forcing you to buy if you don't want to. It's a legal product so what's wrong with that? And you have to be an adult to use Paypal to pay for the items. I have bought a few tins on eBay but it certainly is getting harder to get any kind...

    hallo from The Netherlands

Nice to meet you. The Dutch used to make some nice tobaccos but now that they've gone to Denmark they haven't been the same. I especially liked Troost Special Cavendish.

It seems to be available on UK sites. Have they given up on the North American market?

    what do YOU want

I've always wondered where they'd put all the stickers if the other 49 states required a similar label.

    Latakia

Growing tobacco is easy. It's what happens after that takes skill, experience and time. I had about 70 plants I grew last year, virginias and burleys, that survived the wind, hail and downpours. I hung the leaves in a garage to cure. The ones that were ripe turned nice brown but the others just...

    Dunhill Nightcap

I'm smoking some that's a year old. I don't find the Latakia overpowering at all. Pleasant smell and a smooth, mellow smoke. I've never had the pre-Orlik stuff either so I can't compare but I like this.

    PipePuffer's cellar

Nice haul. You can never have too much. And it'll never be any cheaper. I'm stocking up too as much as I can.

    No White Spots here

Welcome. It's nice to see a man after my own heart. Great excerpt. "Smoke for the pleasure of smoking" and "We smoke unconsciously while we are doing other things" sums it all up. It doesn't have to be complicated.

How long is an open tin good for?

When you open the tin put the tobacco in a plastic baggie. Keep it in the tin and it'll stay fresher. Depending on how much you smoke it'll keep for weeks.

    The Price Of Tobacco

Thanks Smokey. Glad to know Burlington-on-Whyte is still there. I don't get to Edmonton too often and when I do it's usually a rush job to get my shopping done. But I'll have to stop in one of these days.

    The Price Of Tobacco

A pouch of Amphora Brown is $28.99 at a local convenient store. 9 pouches is just short of a pound so that makes it over $260 a pound.
