    SECRET SANTA 2011

I got into the tin of GLP Union Square I received. I'm loving it so far. Very nice sweet hay flavor, but the creaminess is something I wasn't expect expecting. Very tasty stuff that will soon find its way into my next cellar order.

That's one awesome tube-o-baccy! I've never tried union square, but have heard great things. Maybe I'll crack open the tin I got from Santa *edit: Crack the union square is exactly what I did. Delicious stuff!

    SECRET SANTA 2011

Santa's box arrived safe and sound! I might have mentioned that I'm inexperienced with VA's, but am loving them so far and would like to try as much as I can. Can you tell? All have at least a year on them as well. The pipe is a neat one as well, it's a "Tsalagi" with a cool chunky...

    SECRET SANTA 2011

So here I am knee deep in broken equipment at work when fiver_wife texts wondering who I know from Connecticut. I'm thinking "the eagle has landed." Now, if only I can get home before 3am (unlike last night). I forbid the old lady to open the package, so all I know for now is that she really...

    Hats

I hear ya! That's why I've been steering away from them for awhile. Now that the trend is waning, I can start wearing them again. You guys know of any good e-tailers to go through for quality hats?

Fedoras, usually wool type. Not the trendy alternative mall kids type, the classic type.

    Hats

Not much talk of hats in "the Haberdashery." Anybody have favorites? I love a good quality hat, but around these parts there's not much to find unless you're looking for a Stetson.

    vacation pipe

I concur that cobs are a good option. If you are set on briar though, I always carry my Peterson System 31 when traveling. It came with me on two tours to Iraq. It spend many days in a ruck sack, and survived 130 degree days and colossal dust storms. I love that little Pete. --Oh, military...

Being new to the board, this sounds fun. Maybe I'll need to sit this one out to see how it goes though. I don't know if there's a max $ amount on this, or if there's an unwritten standard for these.

    Howdy , from Montana.

Hey roundup! I'm new here as well. I don't know how often you get down to Pocatello, but there's a pretty decent looking pipe shop there. It's called Outwest Tobacco. I've ordered some tins through them, but if you are passing through it might be a good place to get some advice and maybe sample...
