Being comfortable with oneself isn't easy when a small man with exposed nipples is staring at you. Prince was awesome. He ended up a little strange, but he could easily fit inside of a box... and would probably cost less to ship than some of the hauls I've seen. Don't let the man formerly known as Prince intimidate you. He wants to be your friend. :albino:
No question there, he is strange but incredibly talented and one heck of a performer. But then, i've always enjoyed the music of Elton John - also incredibly talented.

So, anyone smoking/drinking/eating any of the goodies they got? Any reports?

I can tell you the the Lepeltier clay smokes very well. I need to remember to take some toothpicks down to the ham shack though. :santa:

Well I've smoked my Todd Harris pipe twice so far, and had a coule of bowls of Todd's custom blend. Both were very good. The pipe is fantastic so far, draw is perfect, weight is low, bit is very comfortable and the smoke is cool. I suspect it's going to quickly work it's way into the main rotation and see frequent use.

Todd's custom blend was also good, and i shared my thoughts on the blend already with Todd. It's a very tasty blend with lots of good flavor. I'm still not 100% sold on the McB Virginias in it yet, but a tasty blend overall. The tin of Va #1 is going into the cellar for a decade or so before i smoke that though:)

I got into the tin of GLP Union Square I received. I'm loving it so far. Very nice sweet hay flavor, but the creaminess is something I wasn't expect expecting. Very tasty stuff that will soon find its way into my next cellar order.

Let's add another talent that had quirks: Freddie Mercury.

From the Secret Santa box, so far the Latakia Junction has been hit pretty hard, and the Tambolaka has earned my respect, making me thankful that I used a small bowl to try it with. It makes Brown Bogie seem somewhat diminished in the strength department. The chocolate took a direct hit, having mysteriously vanished in short order. The rest of my goods are stowed away for now, Santa did an outstanding job. I hope the rest of you are enjoying yours.

Carlos, I keep some toothpicks in the matchbox I carry in my pouch. It doesn't take long smoking a Lepeltier to recognize this vital accessory. As long as there aren't any fines, you do pretty good, but it's easier to use it as a preventative measure. Also, have you noticed any taste differences with the blends you have run through it?

The Mincemeat Pies are now gone. Surprised they lasted this long.

This evening I thoroughly enjoyed a bowl of Peterson Irish Whiskey. The Peterson Shannon is smoking great already. Although it will take a while to break in and develop a good cake, I can already tell it's going to smoke like a Pro. It's already smoking great!

...well, Santa did his part, I was at least hoping for a post with some fear and disappointment. *sigh* Clown must have got the poor guy when his back was turned. That happens sometimes. Sorry, no refunds.

Santa delivered my package. We have a package holding courtesy service in the complex I live in as we have one of those mailbox kiosks with the little tiny post office boxes, and whenever you get a package too big for the little mailbox you get a slip in your box telling you to go to the office to retrieve your parcel. I've been working nights, the wife just went and picked up a parcel left for me that turned out to be the secret santa package. I got some 'splainin to do :| The people at the office will never look at us the same way again. Seems the package has a return address of a midget stripper escort service from Reno and no attempt was made to disguise the origin of the box. In fact, it was advertised in lurid detail and there is a warning tag from the postmaster saying how it is illegal to ship humans in the US mail, even if they're small enough to fit in a flat rate box. We may have to move. To make matters worse, upon opening the box the first thing to spill out of the box onto the floor was a bunch of rubber nipples. Like I said, I got some 'splainin to do.........

But on a positive note, there was a lot of fantastic stuff inside besides the rubber nipples, which I am already making saturday night plans for (I have a bottle
of tequila, nuff said). A large bag of Wilke Nut Brown Burley that has been QC checked by one of santas elves  A most excellent Savinelli three pipe stand, a stove top espresso maker and some home roasted coffee beans, and a tea sampler from one of my favorite overseas tea purveyors! I do believe that this more than makes up for the midget troubles. Besides, my neighbors already had their doubts about me anyhow.
:afro:

Santa needs to be put into a straightjacket right-quick and committed!

:santa: Merry Christmas! 8)

One can only imagine what kyle is going to come up with for next year. Maybe he should be banned from future exchanges :)

This all went down while I was in a bit of a fog. I'd been up all night. Up all night all week long actually, doing work on highway concrete bridge approaches, and I was asleep for a couple of hours when the wife throws open the door and rousts me out of bed wanting to know what the hell this thing is. In my typical unshaken fashion I simply uttered some sleep deprived, undecipherable gibberish and quickly stuffed a pipe with Nut Brown Burley, ignited it and began puffing away with that 'Been married thirty years, thousand mile stare' look on my face. Unfazed, I happily puff away while the missus tears at her garment and dumps ashes over her head. "This is tasty stuff" I tell her, and then I retired back to the doghouse where I'm most comfortable, to finish this pipe and hopefully drift off into blissfull ignorant slumber.

Nite all, thanks santa :santa:

Santa delivered a package to my front door this afternoon! I wasn't bad this year, but I'm not sure if I was this good either? I'm tickled to death with what Santa brought me. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. I don't own a Brigham pipe, nor have I tried any of the blends. Awesome! Thanks Santa!

I also received a great card...

Thanks again Santa! You're the best.
