? Is there another one besides the one posted above? I’ll read thru it again. I do like pistachios from time to time though.

    Are all Cyprian Latakia equal?

I found this Volatile Constituents of Latakia Tobacco Somebody geeked out and did a chemical analysis of Latikia. Lots of chemicals, it says Juniper a lot. That’s about all I got from it, lol! I did look up the tree they cited Juniperus oxycedrus and it’s very wide spread in the Mediterranean.

    Are all Cyprian Latakia equal?

Well, thanks guys. I was not finding much online that would indicate different varieties of it. I will also add that I will probably remain not a fan of Nightcap because either the Latikia or Perique in it is harsh to me. I have zeroed in on that some Latikia has a wine like taste to it where I...

    Are all Cyprian Latakia equal?

I have not had a positive preference for anything Latikia for years but recently I have started liking it again. And with that comes a usual OCD to find out as much as I can about it. I understand that it’s a process and that the actual leaf might be Smyrna. My question is; is Cyprian Latikia...

    What are you smoking?

Last of my Briar Fox in the Boswell Poker. It smoked the best in this pipe. Sweet and bright. This pipe is different from my others in that it has a conical bowl. Hopefully that doesn’t mean that all my other pipes are bad smokers. After about 6 years I’m understanding how a pipe can make or...

    What are you smoking?

Briar Fox in a Moonshine Devil Anse. I’ve been smoking thru blends for the last few months rather than smoking something new each time. Keep about 3 blends out. Right now it’s the above, Exotique, and Ennerdale. I’ll pop some kind of straight Va when the Fox is done.

    What are you smoking?

Exotique in a Boswell. My cellar is about 20% blends that have Latikia. Not a big fan of the stuff but, tastes change and I keep them around. I do enjoy Exotique on a semi regular basis though.

    Hello from Kentucky

Welcome Steve! You aren’t that old now! I was born and raised in Oldham Co until I boarded a Navy ship out of there. Great place for a boy to grow up. Last time I went home all the tobacco fields were gone and replaced with soy or corn. Enjoy this place and happy to have you on.

Nothing, duty on the boat tonight. Tomorrow? Snow storm on its way, might make for a good smoking day.

    Recommendation for a cigar smoker

Bayou Morning. Don't let the name fool you, its a full flavored blend and will satisfy the cigar smoker with the richness it was in the bowl.

    Bent Stem

Ed can pack one hell of a package! The glass jar and tin were nestled soft and snugly in bubble wrap and peanuts. Highly recommended trade/buying partner!
