Now think tobacco, load up your pipe with 2 or more blends. A light tamp between layers to minimize mixing . then fire the puppy up
Would Maltese Falcon and a black cavendish work well with layering or should the blends be closer together?MisterE":0sf70uz3 said:I love parfaits. I usually keep it to two blends but sometimes more.
Once in a while I'll add some tobacco on top of a DGT´d bowl. If I have a half bowl left and was enjoying it I'll just fill the bowl back up with that blend or perhaps something else. In some cases it really guite good. I blow some warm air through the pipe to rehydrate the previous tobacco before lighting. Worth a try.
Well, those two are kind of opposite ends of the spectrum but hey, why not? You might end up liking it.Airborne":rsdj1moh said:Would Maltese Falcon and a black cavendish work well with layering or should the blends be closer together?MisterE":rsdj1moh said:I love parfaits. I like this concept. There are some aromatics that I like, but find the "aromatic" quality is too quickly lost in the hot coal. I will try putting the aromatic in first then a mild burley on top, hopping to enjoy the aromatic flavoring a bit longer.Natch":4xg878xp said:I find the heat from the burning tobacco above lets the Lakeland flavors really come forward for the first half of the bowl, before flame gets down to the lower level.
Don't laugh but.... I've done that. Put in chocolate tobacco, then a layer of vanilla and a pinch of cherry on top. lol Just smoking a little bit of cherry doesn't bite my tongue as bad as a full bowl, but still get the nice cherry aroma.old_salt":jct9kkx9 said:Think Neopolitan Ice Cream , where you have vanilla Chocolate & Strawberry.
